| Alkalinity of Soluble Ash in milliliters of 0.1N hydrochloric acid per gram of material (On Dry Basis) m/m | Not less than 3.5 ml and not more than 5.0 ml |
| Aqueous extracts on dry basis m/m | Not less than 26% and not more than 35% |
| Caffeine (anhydrous) on dry basis m/m | Not less than 1% |
Chicory should conform to the following analytical standards: –
| Total Ash (On Dry Basis) m/m in diluted HCL | Not less than 3.5 % and not more than 8.0 % |

| Aqueous extracts (On Dry Basis) m/m | Not less than 55% |
Coffee – Chicory Mixtures conform to the following analytical standards: –
